Maths
Michelle has been amazing with my daughter who struggles with math. My daughter actually looks forward to their tutoring sessions and has built so much confidence in her ability.
Michelle tutored my son for his senior year, he was failing math and still needed 4 credits to graduate. I found Michelle off of Facebook, we talked and she started to tutor my son. He went from a very low F to a B. If it wasn't for her, I honestly don't think my son would be graduating. She is amazing and is willing to help in anyway. She personally contacted his teachers and got all the assignments that he would need to work on. Without her, my son wouldn't be where he is right now with his grades and for that I appreciate her so much.
We are so happy that we found Michelle to help with our son's Honors Geometry class this year. She has a way in helping that gives him the confidence in understanding the problems and being able to work through them. She has always been available when needed and willing to help in any way that she can. She has significantly reduced the frustration in our household. We plan on keeping her around for his next math journey into Honors Algebra 2!!!
Hi Mrs. Wenger!! You were my algebra teacher in 10th grade! Can confirm as a previous student that you are a great teacher and really lped me understand math when I didn't think I'd be able to! I hope you've been doing well!
The biggest challenge I faced before working with Mrs. Wenger is being able to understand what I was being showed. Mrs. Wenger’s teaching approach impacted me a lot by being able to understand the work. Along with improvements such as help to find ways to remember it if I couldn’t remember. Working with Mrs. Wenger boosted my confidence by breaking down the work step by step to feel confident in my answers. The lessons that were taught helped me prepare for exams by being able to understand the material and do it efficiently. I enjoyed how Mrs. Wenger would explain to me in a different way so I could understand it. Yes I would recommend Mrs. Wenger’s tutoring because she’s very patient and makes sure you’re able to understand the material as well as feel confident.
When I was in school my parents me signed up for Mrs. Wengers private tutoring. I struggled with math a lot. I have ADD and it affected my ability to grasp and even attention..particularly math classes. One on one with Mrs. Wenger was a huge help. She allowed me to breathe, not have the pressure of other students around and explained the math problems in a different way until I understood. Then I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Wenger as my algebra teacher (and my homeroom teacher!) I still wasn’t the best with math but she never made me feel dumb or less than. She provided multiple ways to understand a problem or other ways to look at it. It made a lasting impression, even with how I help my children with patience and looking at things in different ways until your brain gets it. She also made me feel that it was ok if I wasn’t the best at math. I can still be a good student. I am excited to follow her FB page because I now have a middle schooler who also struggles with math (and paying attention!). If we find she needs more help I am definitely reaching out to Mrs. Wenger.
She was my math instructor at HACC and she tutors now. She was so amazing.
